Had a flu 2 weeks ago. Symptoms such as fever, cold and sore throat have stopped. But I feel very lethargic and absolutely no appetite. My daily workouts have stopped as I still have very mild body ache. And because I cannot eat my usual protein rich diet, I am not exerting myself a lot too.
I understand this is common when recovering from the flu but its very frustrating and daily life is not the same. Any advice how to speed up recovery please?

Hi,
Feeling lethargic with low appetite even after flu symptoms settle is very common and improves gradually over the next 1-2 weeks.

Post-viral fatigue, low appetite, and mild body ache lasting 2-3 weeks after flu is very common and is your body's way of recovering and rebuilding. Pushing yourself back into intense workouts too soon can actually delay recovery, so it is wise that you are holding back for now. Focus on light nutrition â easily digestible, smaller frequent meals â and gradually reintroduce activity as your energy returns. Most people feel back to normal within 3-4 weeks of a flu episode.
Next Steps
Continue light activity and eat small nourishing meals. Please consult me directly on Practo for a detailed evaluation if fatigue persists beyond 4 weeks.
