Very watery stools (like diarrhea)
Blood or mucus in stools
Poor feeding / lethargy
Not gaining weight
If none of these are present, this is normal and does not need treatment
This presentation is absolutely normal for this age and if your baby is gaining weight normally you need not worry at all.
Next Steps
No need to do anything
Health Tips
If baby becomes very cranky, gets fever, avoids feeds, passes dark green or bloody mucoid stools or not gaining weight or losing weight then only you have to consult a paediatrician
This is actually normal and a very common pattern we see in breastfed infants.
Breast milk digests quickly, so babies may pass stool after almost every feed.
Semisolid/loose stools are completely normal, if baby is active, accepting feeds well, and not dehydrated -> no concern.
This pattern does not affect weight gain if growth is steady.
Next Steps
Just watch for red flags like watery diarrhea, blood, or if poor weight gain.
