Pneumonia treatment in progress
Son was diagnosed with pneumonia is under treatment at home . Fever from 15th to 19th with one or two episodes of 100 + on pneumonia medication since 20th no fever in the last 4 days.. today early morning woke up with excruciating pain in the right ankle.. no swelling no redness.home remedy given one dose of calpol at night, please advise possible causes of this.

Any pain with out swelling and redness is not significant,may be due to fever associated with pneumonia as it was relieved by paracetamol

Ankle pain might be due to infection from pneumonia. However, as there is no redness and swelling, it is unlikely. So wait until things become more clear. Other rare possible causes rheumatic fever, rheumatoid arthritis Inquire about injury or fall also

As pneumonia improving nothing to worry about it... You should wait for 2 days for ankle pain as there is no swelling and redness...

if no improvement or condition worsen of ankle joint pain them consult pediatrician..

Give plenty of liquids/ water to drink frequently . Reduce climbing or jumping. If pain continues meet a nearby paediatrician
