Hi Doctor,
I’m still having some swelling and a bit of pain in my knee after the dislocation.
I wanted to ask if it's possible to avoid full plaster and use a knee brace or immobilizer instead.
I’ll make sure to rest completely, avoid weight on the leg, and continue icing regularly.
Please let me know what you'd recommend for proper healing and comfort.

Hi, it's okay to use knee brace instead of plaster if you are uncomfortable with it.
And you will definitely need an MRI to check the status of soft tissues around the joint.
Given no xrays, the direction of dislocation , whether its first time or recurrent..needs further history for precise advice. Get well soon :)
