Paradictomy-Severe asthama- anaesthesia
My mom(65)has severe asthama,she was on ventilation for 3 days.Her PEF in PFT test is 37 and pCO2 greater than 40.She is having. pleomorphic adenoma in paratoid gland.We were adviced to remove it.For paradictomy General anaesthesia is given,but if it trigger Broncospasms.So can Paradictomy done under local anaesthesia,where can it be done.What are risks with General anaesthesia. Local or Regional anaesthesia.Please advice us.

Parotidectomy is usually done under general anesthesia. It is difficult to perform this procedure under local or regional anesthesia. Since it is a benign tumor there is no absolute necessity to undergo surgery as her general condition of airway is poor and complications during surgery are expected
