Specimen:Cervical smear History:Menopause 1yr 4 months Gross:3 unstained alcohol fixed smears received from ectocervix, endocervix and post fornix SAMPLE ADEQUACY: Adequate MICROSCOPY: Cellular components: chiefly superficial cells, intermediate cells and endocervical cells. Inflammation: Neutrophils +++ Microorganisms: Bacilli seen Reactive changes: Nil Epithelial cell abnormality: Squamous cells Some of the squamous cells are round with increased nuclear cytoplasmic ratio and vesicular chromatin. Glandular cells NIL REMARKS: In view of atypical cells repeat pap smear after a course of antibiotics. --- End of Report Regards Komala

It has to be correlated with your history , signs and symptoms. As of now since there are atypical cells a course of antibiotics is needed after repeat smear. A cervical biopsy or colposcopy guided biopsy may be next option
