If Ecg is reported as normal by a qualified professional then most likely the reason for palpitations is anxiety. Here another point is whether the patient's sleep pattern is intact or not and if there is anything that might be bothering the mental well being of the patient. It sounds like you might be experiencing significant anxiety, which can often be linked to recent changes or traumatic events. It's important to acknowledge that in Indian society, depression and anxiety are still considered taboo, which can make it even more challenging to talk about these feelings. Factors like work pressure, relationships, and chronic anxiety can all contribute to what you're going through. Remember, you're not alone, and it's okay to seek support.
Next Steps
Before seeking advice from a neuropsychiatrist, it's important to consult a psychologist. Engaging in conversations or therapy sessions with a psychologist can provide valuable treatment options that do not involve medication, such as cognitive behavioral therapy. This approach allows individuals to explore their thoughts and behaviors in a supportive environment.
