Pain in knee cap lateral side & acl tear
After an twist at my right knee after 1.5 months I feel a little pain in left lateral side of knee cap bone when I touch and also a small sound is audible to me ,the MRI shows an acl tear and nothing more. I want to know what this pain in knee cap side . I am unable to bend my knee properly though I am walking and stepping on stairs with little difficulty. Plz suggest me

This pain might be due to tear in the lateral patellar retinaculum. This injury would have happened at same time when your ACL got torn. If you have instability then you should opt for arthroscopic ACL reconstruction.
