Pain between lower spinal and disks

Hi, My grand mother is 82 years old. She is facing a severe problem with her lower spinal cord. Doctors have mentioned she have very weak bone strength for lower spinal and disks and suggested not to go for surgery. But still she is suffering with extreme pain between lower spinal cord and disks. Is the any surgeries or treatments to lower the pain

If her pain is for more than few months, then the suggestion is for this to be investigated with an MRI scan. It may show evidence of fractures or any other features. Then a treatment can be planned. She will most likely have small fractures due to weak bones and this will have caused a change in her posture as well.
