Ovarian cyst and endometriosis
Doctor, My wife suffering ovarian complex cyst (Chocolate) of 8 cm and also endometriosis, Dr suggested to remove uterus and cyst so pl suggest is it safe to keep ovary intact without uterus, and what are chances of reoccurrence of cyst, complications after only uterus removal.

Age is almost 40, peri menopausal. Less chances and almost nil after 45 yrs of age Wats the indication to remove uterus? Get cystectomy for the chocolate cyst, simple lap or open procedure.

chocolate cysts are known to recur. IF family is complete- surgery involves removing uterus and both ovaries

If your planning for surgery, better to get whole of the uterus and ovaries removed when theres chocolate cyst, better life style, Chocolates cysts can reoccur very soon, so If you have completed family better to get whole of it removed
