Oral thrush
Almost 2 months back my family physician diagnosed me with oral thrush. Following up his advice I am taking fluconazol 200mg twice weekly and locally applying candida mouth paint. But my problem is not completely cured.Sometimes I suffer from dry mouth and mild burning tongue .I am 69 years old and diabetic for last 22 years.Though I am diabetic most of the time my sugar levels remain under control. Now my question is how long it will take to completely cure my problem? Because my doctor is saying that it will take time .

For the treatment of oral thrush in adults, the typical dosage of fluconazole is: • Initial dose: 200 mg on the first day • Subsequent dose: 100 mg once daily for at least 7 to 14 days, depending on the severity of the infection and clinical response So probably you are taking wrong doses.
