I have been seeing a doctor for this. He has diagnosed me with OCD and gave me these medicines. Please tell me if there any side effects of these medicines and how long do I have to take these doses? As he told me he will reduce the doses but he has not done so. He's saying it will take a year to chemically balance your mind with these medicines. And when I asked for yoga or any sort of excercise to overcome this then he said medicines will the part, not the excercise. Please suggest me something. Is there any cure for OCD or is it life long ?

Sir , medications wise u needs to take antidepressants (preferably) adequate dose and adequate period , ideally adequate duration for OCD is around 10 months after that we can taper and stop.
And OCD definitely doesn't require life time medication it s completely curable.
