Not showing interest in Studies

Asked for Male, 20 Years

My brother is not showing any interest in studies. He just sleeps whenever he opens his book and does not listen to anyone's advise. He is doing his 1st year medicine and has not managed to clear any paper even after 3 attempts. When asked what his interests are , he says MBBS but does not work for it. He did not attend any class in college and we dont know where he goes. He used to play online games a lot before. Could that be the reason for not able to study ?
