It can be a somatopsychic problem. It may happen, by hearing the word TB...he might have felt shocked like .? (Need to rule out though) which many a times can induce stress induced insomnia. It needs to be treated asap otherwise it may get complicated. It can be well treated with a holistic approach for complete recovery. It needs to be treated with counseling sessions and homeopathic medicine effectively. You need an expert psychologist who is a good homeopathic physician.

Hi, I’m sorry to hear about your father's situation; it sounds quite distressing for both him and your family. Since he has been experiencing sleep disturbances for five days, it’s crucial to address this issue as sleep is vital for recovery. First, ensure that he follows the new doctor's advice and has stopped taking Akurit 4, as the discomfort he felt might have been a reaction to the medication. Encourage a calming bedtime routine, which might include activities like reading, gentle stretching, or meditative breathing exercises to help him relax before sleep. Creating a comfortable sleep environment—dark, quiet, and cool—can also aid in improving his sleep quality. If he continues to struggle with insomnia, it’s important to consult with the new doctor again; they may recommend alternatives such as sleep aids or therapies that can help him sleep better. Additionally, if his lung infection related to smoking is a concern, it might be beneficial to seek support for smoking cessation, as quitting can greatly improve his lung health and overall well-being. Regular follow-ups with health professionals will ensure he receives the best care tailored to his current condition.

Hello, Please first consult a good pulmonologist to understand whether he has tb or not, if it's present then please start Medication for the same, if it's absent, please rule out if he has anything else to understand the cause of sleep issues. At the last, if results are normal then please consult Psychiatrist.

Hi...This sleep disturbance may be caused by the adverse drug reaction (ADR) of the tuberculosis medicine he took. Please consult a good Pulmonologist. There are clear tests to diagnose tuberculosis, please get the patient through these tests under medical supervision, to clarify any doubts. You may consult a Psychiatrist later if no lung infection, tuberculosis, ADR, or any other physiological cause to his sleep issue is found.
Next Steps
Consult a Pulmonologist. Take tuberculosis tests. Consult a Psychiatrist later if no physiological cause is found for sleep issues.
