My daughter has bleeding nose. She bleeds regularly in the evening. Blood is very thick and dark. Bleeding happens when she has a mild cold.

Please cut & file her finger nails twice a week. Run the fingers across your cheek to ensure no sharp edges remain. When she has a cold, the nasal mucosa is inflamed, so even a slight scratch or poke by her finger nail (when she digs her nose) will cause profuse bleeding. Dark blood is good news...plenty of haemoglobin in her blood. Use ice packs over nose to staunch nasal bleeds.
