Nitrofurmin in pregnancy
Hello doctor i m 33 weeks pregnant and recently having UTI and urine inconsistency. One doctor suggest Nitrofurmin 100mg twice a day. Is this medication safe in 8th month of pregnancy for UTIs. I have no other symptom but very frequent urination.

Nitrofurantoin is safe during pregnancy but have few adverse effects as diarrhoea which can be deblitating during last trimester ...better to get cefixime ..dose and titration can be advised after consultation
