Hello, I am Dr. Romain Rajan, General Physician. I understand your concern. Feeling nervous while sleeping, along with gas and bloating, can be related to both anxiety and gastric irritation — spicy food can worsen acidity and gas. Since you are already on Etizola Beta 0.25 (for anxiety), stomach issues may be adding to your discomfort. ✅ Advices • Avoid spicy, oily, and heavy meals at night — prefer light dinner 2–3 hours before sleeping • Eat slowly, chew well, and include curd, oats, or fruits for easy digestion • Do deep breathing or relaxation before bed to reduce nervousness • Stay hydrated with 2.5–3 liters of water daily What to Monitor • Frequency of gas and bloating • Any burning in chest, sour taste in mouth, or worsening anxiety • Changes in sleep pattern Management You can take a simple antacid (like syrup gelusil/digene) after meals for relief. If symptoms persist, a short course of proton pump inhibitors (like pantoprazole) may be needed, which your doctor can prescribe. When to Consult a Doctor Immediately • If you develop persistent chest pain, vomiting, or black stools • If anxiety worsens or sleep disturbance continues for more than 1–2 weeks despite medicines • If gas and bloating become constant with weight loss or loss of appetite Every patient’s case is unique. Gastric care along with anxiety management usually settles the symptoms. 👉 You can connect with me on Practo or WhatsApp at 85271646 seven seven for a personalized prescription to balance both gastric and anxiety issues. Take care, wishing you good health. Best regards, Dr. Romain Rajan General Physician
