If you do not have a disease, it is a better to have low wt as after a certain age you will gain weight. It is more important to stay healthy than stay Fat. So, you must eat 5-6 times in a day. Eat healthy foods. One of the minor meals may consist of 50 gms peanuts. Do some strengthening exercises to gain weight in muscles because that will be healthy. I am a Sports Med Spl at Pune

Plz consult a physician to rule out any medical condition. If everything is normal then consult a qualified Nutritionist for diet plan suitable for your life style. Till then you can follow these simple tips: Take smaller portions of, energy dense foods and  have frequent meals. Chew food properly. Drink water in between meals. Do some light strength training exercise like dumb bells, push ups, Pilates etc Try to take balanced diet with fruits, veggies, nuts, sprouts, paneer, curd, whole cereals. Cut down on junk  food and outside food.  Preferably eat home-cooked food.
