Need an Ayurvedic medicine for diabetes

My mother is a diabetes patient from last 21 years. She was taking an Ayurvedic medicine called Hyponidd made by Charak from the beginning. But now this medicine stopped working. Someone suggested her to take IME 9 tablets but it's making her tired and sleepy. I saw several negative reviews about IME9 on the internet and I want her to stop this medicine. But I need a good medicine to control her sugar level. She don't want to take allopathic medicines because of side effects. Please suggest a good Ayurvedic medicine for her.

I doubt she would respond to any Ayurvedic medicine at this stage. And no medicine Ayurvedic or Allopathic is devoid of side effects. It's just that side effects of Allopathic drugs are documented because these drugs come to market only after going through several phases of clinical research
