Let ur Physio decide wht iz required for u....it's seem ur orthopaedic doctor prescribes u the tens etc.

Firstly let me know ur MRI report. If it says disc prolapse, u need to follow specific protocols. It's it's muscle spasm, just get TENS, hot pack, US  and Soft tissue mobilisation by an expert and certified therapist.

Yes you would be required to go for physiotherapy for pain relief. But besides TENS, you can go for Neck Traction and also you can do some neck exercises as shown .
