My wife is using istamet 50/1000diabetic
Gestational Diabetes is diabetes developed during pregnancy.a gter pregnancy gestational diabetes concerted to type 2 diabetes. She took insulin for 3 years , after consulting doctor they have give Istamet 50/1000 tablet and she is using since more than 1 years. Now we want to go for 2nd issue,can u clear me any side-effect for using tablets for pregnancy and baby health.

Her current tablet will need to be stopped and other oral medicines which are safe for pregnancy will need to be started. She might need to go back to insulin before planning pregnancy. Her blood sugar levels need to be absolutely within limits before you plan furthur.
