Tsh is the reason for weight gain. Not t4.
Change life style n diet plan drastically first no therapy gives u proper results otherwise.
Add walk 40 min. Least use of carbohydrates maximum protein , jawar, , makka, bajra n other millet rather than wheat advisable.
STOP MILK N MILK PRODUCTS N SUGAR TO ZERO. THEY R THE MAIN SOURCE OF WEIGHT GAIN.
Thyroid problem is not the cause of weight gain in your case.
So go for diet changes, exercises and stress management to loose weight.
Avoid simple carbs and increase fibre and protein intake in your diet.
And Do all three types of exercises (cardio, flexibility and strengthening exercises for better result.

If your TSH and Free T4 are normal, then your thyroid function is considered normal (euthyroid) — even if Total T4 is low.
A low Total T4 alone does NOT cause weight gain and usually reflects low thyroid-binding proteins, not low thyroid hormone activity.
This means:
• Your cells are getting adequate thyroid hormone
• Increasing Total T4 will not help with weight loss
• Thyroid medication is NOT indicated based on this pattern
Rapid weight gain from 2023 is unlikely due to thyroid if TSH and FT4 are normal.
More common causes include:
• Insulin resistance
• Stress / cortisol excess
• Sleep disturbance
• Dietary changes
• Perimenopause / hormonal shifts (if applicable)
Next Steps
(Recommended Tests)
• TSH + Free T4 (repeat if not recent)
• Fasting insulin / HOMA-IR
• Lipid profile
• Vitamin D, B12
• Cortisol (if stress symptoms are significant)
Health Tips
What Actually Helps Weight Control
• Focus on insulin sensitivity, not thyroid numbers
• Adequate protein intake
• Resistance training
• Stress management and sleep regulation

If your TSH and Free T4 are consistently normal, a low Total T4 alone usually does not indicate hypothyroidism and is often due to low thyroid-binding proteins (like TBG), lab variation, illness, or medications. In such cases, thyroid hormone action in the body is normal, and weight gain is unlikely to be caused by low Total T4.
Next Steps
Focus on confirming thyroid status with TSH + Free T4 (± Free T3) rather than Total T4. Evaluate other causes of weight gain such as insulin resistance, diet changes, reduced activity, sleep issues, stress, cortisol excess, or medications.
Health Tips
There is no safe or recommended way to increase Total T4 if TSH and Free T4 are normal—taking thyroid medicines in this setting can be harmful. Avoid unnecessary supplements claiming to “boost thyroid.”
If TSH and Free T4 are normal, thyroid hormone is NOT the cause of weight gain.Your thyroid function is likely normal. Weight gain is almost certainly due to non-thyroid metabolic or lifestyle factors, and increasing Total T4 is neither necessary nor safe.feel free to consult me on practo for further guidance and evaluation.
I think you should get your thyroid profile again as this are from 2023 and is there any associated symptoms with weight gain . Are you on any medication ?
