According to the complaints, you seem to have developed tightness in your upper trapezius muscle due to bad sitting posture. You need to focus on sitting in correct upright posture. Do light neck stretches 1 set of 3 with 30 seconds hold, for 3 times a day.
Next Steps
Ice pack for 10-15 mins 3 times a day for next 72 hours. Instead of pillow, use a towel roll that will help in keeping your neck in line with your body.
Health Tips
If the pain severes or doesn't start settling, consult an orthopedist.

Is is due to muscle spasm / weakness and cervical early spondylosis and dehydration. Drink plenty of water to avoid dehydration because dehydrated disc is more prone to injury or buldge. Do neck muscle strengthening exercises after pain subsides. Physio in form of IFT and USG massage may help. Consult orthopaedic dr. In current situation use hot or ice fomentation. If pain on left side get cardiac problem ruled out.
