Good morning ,mucus can accumulate overnight while sleeping, leading to a buildup that needs to be cleared in the morning.Certain conditions like acid reflux or postnasal drip may be worse at night, causing more mucus production.Dehydration overnight can thicken mucus, making it harder to clear in the morning..I would suggest to ignore it if it's not causing much trouble.Take plenty of fluids.Needs to evaluate for causes like chronic sinusitis, acid reflex or allergies if symptom is affecting day to day activities.
