Hi mam/ sir my sister who is breast feeding mother of 2 months baby she got milk clots in breast and got infection one of the doctor said need to do surgery to remove colts after surgery she cannot feed to baby on that breast y the milk get colts she can feed in future or not what is the reason for getting colts please suggest me

Due to excess engorgement of breast,if you will not empty the breast and continued to engorge then chances of mastitis and breast abscess are high,then you will definitely need surgical management (incision and drainage).
She can feed from the same breast in future once it heals completely.
