Mental illness
My sister has some form of mental illness. She left her job 6 years back and tried in many govt exams but failed. Now she refuses to work. Sits idle, no routine, irregular eating habits. She doesn't want to talk about her future. She doesn't acknowledge that there is a problem, refuses to visit doctor. When taken on some other pretext, just ran away from there. I have doubt whether she has schizophrenia or some other psychotic disorder. Please suggest what should we do.

She seems unlikely to have a psychotic disorder. Though she could use some help from a counselor/counseling psychologist. Since she seems to be reluctant to go to any therapist. Dance therapy, music therapy or drama therapy is something that can help pretty much, as they can be taken as a different sort of a dance class or something like that. Positive affirmations on a regular basis can also help. Help her find a hobby to remove some of her frustrations
