I have masturbated since I was 14 years old. Now I am addicted to it, so much so that feel compelled to do it in every few days. I do not get aroused and am unable to perform whenever I try to have sex with my partner. This problem has been going on for 4 years And I suffered from clinical depression because of the toll it took on our relationship. I took medication for bipolar depression for 6 months. I have visited a sexologist before and received counselling but nothing improved. I have tried to stop/control my urge for masturbation several times in the past but could never continue for more than 3 weeks. I really need help.

Sorry to hear about your difficulties and the situation.
Without sounding patronising and judgemental, I would like to reassure you that masturbation is normal. Unfortunately for various reasons, masturbation takes precedence to normal sexual intercourse in a very few people and this can be helped with counselling.
The reason for not being able to have arousal and perform despite being able to masturbate suggests either performance anxiety or other psychological issues possibly related to your relationship. Hence it is important that you speak to psychiatrist with your partner.
Best wishes.
