Lump on armpit

Asked for Female, 20 Years

My mother has recently started noticing a big lump around her left armpit. Although she has body fat near both the armpits, which is nothing unusual, but the one on her left side is comparably bigger in size. She also feels pain when that area is pressed/clinched with fingers. Should I be concerned?
