Disc Bulge at Lumbar Spine is The Most Common Problem Among Young Adults. If Your Condition is Stable Better You Make it 💯%Fine. There are Different Exercises for Back and You Don't Have to Do All Some Particular Exercises Only According to Your Physical Examination Will Be Prescribed to You. Your back pain is due to disc bulge. Massage is not advisable. What are all the exercises you did and for how long? Are you still continuing the exercises.
Next Steps
You should do back stretching and strengthening exercises with proper guidance. You can use Volini gel or spray provided you are not allergic. You should give hot water fomentation for 15-20 minutes twice a day for a week. Avoid prolonged standing or sitting. Avoid frequent bending activities. Avoid lifting heavy weights. Avoid frequent staircase climbing.
Health Tips
If the pain persists or aggrevates you need consult a Physiotherapist either in person or through video call for exercise therapy.

Hello Your condition is Lumbar spondylosis that is in the initial stage. You can use hot water fermentation for 15 min twice a day. Apply any diclofenac gel like volini. And apart from those you have to strengthen the back muscles. For that do the stretches and then the strengthening exercises for the low back. Instead of using massages it's better to strengthen the back muscles so, that the effect will not fall directly on the lumbar vertebrae.
Next Steps
Consult through practo for proper guidance of exercises.
Health Tips
Avoid lifting weights. Avoid bending forward.

Hi You should first check for any history of fall or slip in the recent past which might be a reason for the disc bulge. Another possibility for this condition might be due to postural defect while you sit and work or the way you sleep. You shouldn't massage the affected area especially in case of any disc related issues and also you won't find any much difference. You are at very young age which wil help you to be more fit , so try some routine of core strengthening exercises for back as well as balanced timely diet which might help you maintain your weight too.
Next Steps
Try applying ice pack compressions for 10 to 15 mins twice a day for a week. After this try mild stretches for upper and lower back for a week and then progress to core strengthening exercises which can be continued for another 2 weeks.
Health Tips
If still you feel no relief, please do consult an Orthopaedic or a Physiotherapist for futher help. Take care ....... Stay safe

There are many aspects to recovery. Physiotherapy for this condition will include mobilisation of stiff spine, maintaining good ranges at middle back and hip to minimise pressure on your disc, massage could involve manipulating muscles into buttock or other muscles as per tightness and exercises to improve mobility and strength. Also electrotherapy could be used. Now these in combination with medication can bring about improvement.
Next Steps
self massage would not be a good idea, unless you are just putting the volini on. None of these creams/gel have deep penetrability, hence it is best to keep it on for 30 mins atleast without fabric rubbing it off...
