Lower back and shoulder pain after c sec
Hi Doctor, I delivered a baby 40 days back through c-section and before that I was on complete bed rest for 3.5 months due to emergency cervical cerclage. I'm having extreme lower back and shoulder pain even though I am maintaining posture while feeding in sitting position. Below are my queries - 1. Can I continue having mustard seed oil massage? 2. Can I continue feeding my baby while lying down? 3. I'm taking Calcium and Iron supplements. Do I need any other supplements? 4. I'm a vegetarian, do I need to make any changes to my diet?

1. yes. massages will help relieve tour stiffness of the lower back muscles. but need is to sit in a relaxed posture and use a feeding pillow so that you can rest the baby on the pillow and not require to hold with your hand. reduce mobile use. 2. if your medical condition permits, then it is advisable that you start getting active in small doses and at frequent intervals. undertake movements of lower back, shoulders. 3. you are taking enough supplements, and the pains are more due to muscle fatigue than nutritional deficiencies.
