Low TIBC with Iron within normal range
Hi, I recently got some tests done, and the report says that Iron value is 125.3 which is well within range (50-170), where as my TIBC value is 33.9, which is well below the normal range (228-428). (Transferrin saturation is 37) Can someone please help me understand what this means? Other concerning values in the report: RBC Ct: 6.67 (4.20 - 5.20) MCV: 57.6 (76-99) MCH: 19.0 (24-39) I went for tests terrible body ache... and joint pains. I plan on going in for consultation tomorrow, but was hoping get an opinion on what this could mean. P.S.: Low TIBC, high RBC count, and normal iron, could the report be corrupted? Should I get the tests done again?

It means that your red blood cells are enough but there are many immature cells. I will suggest you to get a peripheral smear done before you go for consultation. It will help in detecting the case.
Next Steps
Peripheral smear Vitamin D test Vitamin B12 test Liver function test 12 hrs fasting is required for the last 3 tests.
