Generic Iron formulations have a high chance of causing constipation.

Your report shows low ferritin, inadequate vitamin b 12.femozer plus is a good choice as ferrous bisglycinate is not harsh on gi tract, causes no constipation
Thank you for sharing your values. Your reports show:
1. Ferritin = 10.9 ng/ml
→ Low (indicates iron-store deficiency)
2. Serum Iron = 57 µg/dl
→ Borderline low
3. Vitamin B12 = 281 pg/ml
→ Low-normal / early deficiency
This combination suggests iron deficiency + early B12 deficiency, which is very common in females.
⸻
Is Femozer Plus appropriate for you? — YES
Femozer Plus (Ferrous bisglycinate + Methylcobalamin + Folic acid + Zinc) is one of the best and gentlest options for iron deficiency because:
✔ Ferrous Bisglycinate
• Causes much less constipation compared to ferrous sulfate or ferrous fumarate
• Better absorption
• Minimal gastric irritation
✔ Methylcobalamin
Helps improve low B12 levels.
✔ Folic Acid
Required for RBC formation.
✔ Zinc
Supports immunity and metabolism.
So this combination is perfectly suitable for your deficiencies.
⸻
How to take it (to reduce constipation + improve absorption)
• Take one tablet after food
• Drink plenty of water
• Increase fibre: fruits, vegetables
• Avoid tea/coffee for 2 hours after taking tablet
• Avoid calcium tablets within 4 hours (reduces iron absorption)
If constipation still occurs:
• Take Isabgol 1 tsp at night
• Or take tablet every alternate day (new evidence shows good absorption with less side effects)
⸻
How long to take it
• 8–12 weeks to correct iron deficiency
• Repeat ferritin after 2–3 months
⸻
When to add separate B12
Your B12 is borderline (281). If you have:
• Tingling/numbness
• Fatigue
• Mouth ulcers
• Memory issues
Then you may need separate methylcobalamin 1500 mcg weekly (only if symptomatic).
Otherwise Femozer Plus alone is usually enough.
Next Steps
When to contact doctor
• If iron does not improve after 8–12 weeks
• If severe constipation occurs
• If heavy menstrual bleeding is present (main cause of low ferritin)
Your reports show clear iron deficiency even though your B12 is normal.
Ferritin 10.9 → low (ideal for women is 50–100)
Iron 57 → borderline low
B12 281 → normal but on the lower end of optimal
So yes, you definitely need iron supplementation, but it must be the right type because your body is not tolerating regular iron tablets.
1. Is Femozer Plus suitable?
Yes, Femozer Plus is actually one of the better choices for people who get constipation with regular iron.
Why?
Ferrous bisglycinate is a gentle, highly absorbable form of iron

B12 + folic acid help in red blood cell formation
Zinc supports immunity
This combination is absolutely appropriate for your current lab values.
2. How to take it to avoid constipation
Take it after food, not on an empty stomach
Drink 2–3 liters water daily
Add 1 tbsp isabgol in warm water at night if needed
Include fruits like papaya, pear, banana, raisins
Avoid taking tea/coffee within 1 hour of the iron tablet (reduces absorption)
3. How long to take it
To raise ferritin from 10 → 60+, you need minimum 8–12 weeks of treatment.
Stopping early will make levels drop again.
4. When to recheck
Repeat Ferritin + CBC after 10–12 weeks.

Yes — Femozer Plus is okay for you, and it is actually a better option if you get constipation from regular iron.
Why?
Your ferritin 10.9 = low iron stores
Iron 57 + B12 281 = on the lower side
Ferrous bisglycinate is gentle on the stomach → much less constipation than ferrous sulfate/fumarate.
It also contains B12 + folic acid + zinc, which helps overall blood building.
How to take (to reduce constipation):
Take after food, not on empty stomach.
Drink plenty of water.
Add 1 banana or 1 tsp ghee daily if you get hard stools.
Avoid tea/coffee within 2 hours of the tablet.
How long to continue?
Usually 2–3 months, then recheck ferritin.
You can safely take Femozer Plus.
The one you are suggesting also has iron. You can take it after food. If constipation persists after that, you can take some laxative like syp Dupahalac 10m.l. after dinner for 7 to 10days.
Also take glass of hot water after dinner.
Take more of fresh, green leafy vegetables, pumpkin, beetroot, fruits like pomegranate, apple, orange, drink more water. These will help in improving anemia, as well as constipation.
