Hello mam
Parents and caregivers should model healthy eating behaviors and provide a variety of nutrient-dense foods, allowing the child to decide how much to eat from the healthy options provided.
Allowing the infant to self-feed with finger foods can promote interest in eating. This method encourages the baby to explore different textures and flavors at their own pace, which can be more engaging than spoon-feeding purees.
If the baby is breastfed, the variety of flavors in breast milk can help in the transition to solid foods.
It is important to continue offering new foods even if they are initially rejected. Repeated exposure is key to developing a liking for new foods.
Next Steps
First of all don't get stressed out. Parenting needs patience.Creating a positive and stress-free feeding environment is important. Responsive feeding practices, where caregivers respond to the baby's hunger and satiety cues.
