Loose stools
My baby is 2 months 1 week old. He has loose motion since 2 days. He was prescribed fiximax suspension 2 weeks back & he was better. Again it has started. What's causing it frequently ? If I intake spicy or pungent food, does it effect for breastfeeding ?

what is the frequency?  4/5 times a day can be normal in breastfed babies..although mist babies pass motion once in 2/3 days at this age..if baby is exclusively breast fed n active, feeding well, gaining weight you don't worry about frequency ...

if your baby is feeding well, no mucus or blood in stools, no fever or lethargy and is passing urine normally, there is nothing to worry. A normal gastrocolic reflex causes this at this age. Avoid medications and keep a watch on above mentioned danger signs. else consult a pediatrician.
