Loose stools

Asked for Female, 1 Years

My 1 year old baby ,was having loose motions since 3 days and had vomitings for 1 day. On consulting a pediatrician, he advised to take ORS frequent sips, Z and D drops for 14 days, Darolac sachets twice daily and ondem syrup2.5 ml twice daily for 2 days. No blood in stools and no fever. Now the vomitings got suppressed but loose stools still not set. Can you give me some advice?

The treatment advised is appropriate, as your child seems to have Acute Gastroenteritis...You just need to wait 1-2days more for full recovery.

As your child is suffering from acute gastroenteritis. The medication are very well adviced. It is good that there is no Vomitting now. Maintain hydration with ORS solution. Loose stool generally take some time to settle.
