Hydration is key: Give Oral Rehydration Solution (ORS) after every loose stool acc to the weight of baby. • Continue feeding: Continue breastfeeding or formula. Do not stop feeds. • Zinc supplementation: Give Zinc syrup (like Zinconia/Z&D drops) – dose is usually 10–20 mg once daily for 10–14 days (based on age). •. Probiotics (like Enterogermina, Darolac, or Econorm) – usually 1 vial/sachet once or twice daily.
Next Steps
Avoid: • Antibiotics unless prescribed. • Antidiarrheal medications like loperamide – never safe for babies. ⸻ See a paediatrician If: • Baby is less than 6 months old. • Has fever or blood in stool. • Showing signs of dehydration (dry mouth, sunken eyes, no tears, low urine). • Vomiting repeatedly or refuses to feed.
Health Tips
Kindly mention age/weight of baby , If you share your baby’s age and weight, I can guide you on more specific dosage.
