Leg edema(mild) with light brown patches
Hello. My father is 68 years old. He got a pacemaker implanted in the year 2015, due to slow diastolic heart rate. Recently I have noticed his leg is mildly swelling and few brown patches here and there. Gone through KFT, and Gfr test. Consulted with a urologist. He mentioned contacting a cardiologist as his kidneys are alright. How should I treat this edema? He seems physically moderately active and sound. Is there anything to fear?

Is he hypertensive or diabetic, any ongoing medications. Is he having bilateral Leg edema? If yes, than get a 2D echo done. He may need some medications to treat the edema. He will be perfectly fine after that.
