The only option is avoiding use of latex. Try consulting a physician for physical examination to rule out if it’s latex allergy or other local issue.

Severe burning and pain after condom use is commonly due to latex allergy or contact irritation, especially if symptoms occur immediately after use. It can also be worsened by friction, dryness, or sensitivity to lubricants or spermicides present on the condom.
Next Steps
Avoid latex condoms and switch to non-latex options such as polyurethane or polyisoprene condoms. If symptoms persist despite avoiding latex, consult a doctor for examination and possible allergy testing.
Health Tips
Do not continue using latex condoms as reactions can worsen over time. Use adequate lubrication, avoid fragranced or spermicidal products, and seek urgent care if you develop swelling, breathing difficulty, or generalized itching.

Yes, burning, pain, or irritation after using a condom can be due to latex allergy or sensitivity, especially if symptoms start soon after use and settle once contact stops. Sometimes it can also be due to lubricants or spermicides on the condom, not latex itself. What you should do: • Stop using latex condoms • Switch to non-latex options like polyurethane or polyisoprene condoms • Avoid condoms with added flavors, fragrances, or spermicides • Wash the area with plain water only; avoid soaps or antiseptics If symptoms continue even after avoiding latex, other causes like local infection or skin sensitivity need to be checked. For confirmation and proper management, please contact me directly on Practo. Dr. RS Pankaj
