I have large size painless bartholin cyst on left side of vaginal opening since 4-5 months. It's tender and it became large when I was 2 months pregnant and had abscess. Now there is no abscess or pain but the cyst is not going. Before I used to feel the small lump but it was never this large. Can ayurveda help me ? I do not want to do surgery. ( I had abortion due to infection to baby)

Hello, I'm truly sorry to hear what you're going through. A **Bartholin cyst**âespecially after pregnancy and infectionâis emotionally and physically distressing. The good news is: **Ayurveda does offer non-surgical management** for such cysts, especially when there's **no active infection, pain, or abscess** right now.
---
### ð Understanding Your Condition (Ayurveda View)
* A **Bartholin cyst** (especially large, chronic, and painless) is seen in Ayurveda as a **"Granthi"** (benign swelling), often caused by **Kapha** and **Vata** imbalance, and accumulation of **Ama** (toxins).
* The infection you had during pregnancy likely aggravated the doshas and may have weakened local immunity, causing cyst enlargement.
---
### â Ayurvedic Management (Non-surgical)
#### ð¿ 1. **Internal Ayurvedic Medicines**
To reduce the cyst size, prevent regrowth, and cleanse the system:

#### â ï¸ Avoid self-prescribing if:
You are trying to conceive again or planning pregnancy soon â some of these may not be suitable. Let me know so I can adjust accordingly.
---
#### ð§ 2. **Local Application (External)**
Helps soften and drain the cyst naturally (if needed), or shrink it slowly.
* **Sitz Bath (Yoni Avagaha)**:
* Take **warm water** with 1 tsp **Triphala churna** or **Neem leaves**, sit in it for 15â20 minutes daily.
* This reduces local Kapha and improves circulation to the area.
* ******oil )** Pack:
* Warm ***** oil, soak clean cotton pad, and apply over the cyst for 15â30 min daily. Helps shrink and soften the cyst.
---
#### ð¥ 3. **Diet and Lifestyle**
* Avoid heavy, oily, sugary, dairy-rich, and cold foods â they aggravate **Kapha and Ama**.
* Add warm, light, detoxifying foods like:
* Ginger, turmeric, garlic
* Green leafy vegetables
* Plenty of warm water
* Regular gentle walks or yoga to improve lymph flow.
---
### ð§ââï¸ Optional Ayurvedic Therapies
If available near you, **Kshara application**, **leech therapy (Jalaukavacharana)** or **minor Panchakarma like Basti** can help in non-surgical resolution.
---
### ð When to Seek Further Help
If at any point:
* Cyst starts growing rapidly
* Turns painful again or becomes red
* You feel feverish or unwell
Then **don't wait**, seek a gynecologist. Ayurvedic approach works best **in chronic, non-infected stage**, as in your case now.
---
Would you like a **custom routine** (herbal + diet + yoga) for daily use to help shrink the cyst and support fertility as well? Iâd be happy to guide you based on your current condition and goals.

Yes, Ayurveda can help manage Bartholin cysts with internal herbs, local lepa (paste), and sitz baths with herbal decoctions to reduce the size and prevent recurrence. Since it's painless now but enlarged, treatment can focus on reducing accumulated kapha and clearing srotas (channels). Please consult for a personalized, non-surgical treatment plan. Avoid surgery unless absolutely necessary.
Yes there is solution in Ayurveda.But if you haven't consulted anywhere recently it is better to go for a local examination first and some blood tests as you are prone to infection
