Kidney transplant and sun exposure
My fiance And I are going on a tropical honeymoon this summer, and he desperately wants to not be sunburnt for any duration of the trip. We have a pool and he is outside constantly in the summer, often with no sunscreen. I know this is unsafe and have asked him to be more cautious. He has decided to buy a tanning bed package with a local salon and go multiple times before the honeymoon so he doesn't burn on the trip. My question is this: he is a 15 years-in kidney recipient (from his sister), if I cannot dissuade him from doing this, are there any immediate risks for him being an organ recipient with tanning beds? Thank you.
