Kidney stone after pregnancy.
Hello doctor. 1 year before I had kidney stone(7mm) with hydronephrosis. but by drinking lots of water it passed by urine. then I became pregnant. my baby is now 2months old and she is on breast feed and I am taking calcium tablet for 6months. I did USG and again its showing that I have a 6mm stone in left kidney at mid pole. why it coming again and again? what can I do to prevent this tendency? I don't want to take any drug/medicine? can it prevent using home remedy? if yes, what are the methods to follow? . should I continue taking the calcium tablet? Thanks in advance

Kidney stones are prone to recur..and physiological changes during pregnancy favour stone formation..6mm stone is likely to pass spontaneously..just follow up with scan periodically..hydrate yourself well abt 2-3litres of water/day..check ur blood calcium & if its high, consider stopping calcium supplements & rely on natural sources like milk..
