Symptoms are likely due to tonsil stone with residual inflammation, continue saline gargles and reflux precautions. If symptoms persist beyond 2–3 weeks or any signs (increasing pain, dysphagia, neck swelling, weight loss) occur, review with ENT for further evaluation.

Hello, Based on your history and throat examination, this is most likely due to a tonsil stone with residual irritation or throat sensitivity from reflux/post-nasal drip, rather than anything serious. It is reassuring that serious causes have already been ruled out. Mild throat irritation can take a few weeks to settle even after treatment. For now, continue warm saline gargles, maintain good hydration, and follow reflux precautions like avoiding late-night meals, spicy/oily food, and excess caffeine. Tonsil stones can sometimes keep causing irritation until they are removed completely. If symptoms persist beyond 2–3 weeks or worsen (pain, difficulty swallowing, or increasing neck swelling), follow up with an ENT specialist.
