. I went to a doctor to removal of wax in the left ear. Doctor said its not wax.something elz...CT scan was taken. He said its kerotisis . Is surgery required for kerotisis?? Another doctor says it's not kerotisis.. its cholestema.. kindly cleary doubt. Is surgery mandatory ???m

Keratosis Obturans just means it will be too painful to remove it in the clinic. It is best done under General Anaesthesia in the Operation Theatre using an operating microscope for better accuracy! However if it is Cholesteatoma, you will need full-fledged Mastoidotympanoplasty.
