Thanks for consulting. I would start this by saying one thing, your baby is the source for your good lactation. I recommend that you keep feeding the baby even though you feel like there is less milk I mean feed once every 2-3 hours. Make sure the baby sleeps for 2 hours after meals. If you feel milk is little watery, it’s totally normal as it’s the fore milk and a little later you will have the hind milk which is more rich in fats and will make the baby full Keep feeding the baby as it’s the only thing that will signal hormones in your brain to produce more milk. On diet , I recommend you to eat about 450-600 calories more than your normal diet or 250 calories more than your pregnancy diet
Next Steps
Reassurance and follow feeding habits

It’s great that you are focusing on staying hydrated and eating well. Low milk supply can sometimes be due to various factors like stress, hormonal imbalance, or even insufficient lactation stimulation. Zandu Striveda is known for supporting lactation, as it contains herbs like Shatavari and Vidari that are traditionally used to promote milk production. Recommended Ayurvedic Solutions for Lactation: Zandu Striveda: It is helpful in enhancing breast milk production. You can take 1 tablet twice a day after meals. Shatavari Churna: Take 1 tsp with warm milk twice a day. Shatavari is one of the most effective herbs for lactation. Methi Seeds (Fenugreek): Soak 1 tsp of fenugreek seeds overnight, and drink the water in the morning or add the seeds to your food. Fenugreek is known to boost milk supply. Saw Palmetto (in moderation): Known to support hormonal balance and lactation, though it's best used under guidance. Ashwagandharishta: This is also helpful for overall nourishment and vitality. Take 3 tsp with equal water after meals. Diet Tips: Include sweet potatoes, pumpkin, ghee, and dates in your diet for their galactagogue properties. Ensure you are eating small, frequent meals with a focus on whole grains, legumes, nuts, and seeds. Drink warm milk with cardamom and saffron daily to support milk production. Lifestyle Recommendations: Try Breast Massage and Gentle Stimulation: Massaging the breasts can help stimulate milk production. Stay relaxed and minimize stress as it can affect milk supply. Maintain a comfortable breastfeeding posture and ensure proper latch-on for effective nursing. If you continue to face challenges, please consult with an Ayurvedic physician to ensure the right treatment plan for your unique needs. Wishing you and your baby health and happiness!
