Is Diabetes A Deficiency.
I Have Diabetes from 1 Year. I just want to ask that is diabetes a Deficiency or an illness??. Because i have felt that since i have started taking insulin, my Diet has changed. & i am not my old self. Before i used to go 4-5 Hours without eating. Now, aftr taking insulin, I think my Life has become short. I am completely shattered.

Diabetes is a multi factorial disease caused by insulin deficiency, insulin resistance, increased hepatic(liver) glucose output other than hereditary and life style/stress related causes. There is no need to panic or loose hope, you could follow a healthy eating pattern(3 meal and 3 snack) along with regular physical activity/ exercise and regular follow up of at least once every three months with your blood sugars-FBS,PPBS, HBA1C with your endocrinologist. With blood sugar control and life style changes you can lead a normal life. Thank you!
