I have opted for gynecologist before my marraige due to prolonged period . She prescribed me medicine to stop mu period nd diagonsed that I have polycystic ovaries. But my period was regular. But she prescribed me provera to induce my cycle regularly for three cycle but after marriage I came to Banglore she said to stop the medicine after my last consultation nd took a thyroid test nd my thyroid is normal. But since then I haven't got my periods for five months now I wasn't pregnant . I don't know why? Do I need check up or it is due to side effects of povera medicine. Because I have also gained so much weight after this in very short span tym even though I'm not eating tat much. Kindly help with this.

If you have taken depot provera injection, it's side effects include prolonged irregular / no menses. Its effective for 3 months, but post injection also the effect remains. Since you haven't got period for 5 months, you should take coc pills to induce periods. Also start on pcos supplements to regularise your menses
