IF is a absolutely safe if you want to follow it. However, you need to be careful about when do you fast, for how long and what do you eat while you are not fasting. As far as the weight gain is concerned, its a natural thing for your weight to come back if you give up the regime you used to lose it in the first place. Whatever changes you make, you need to make them your lifestyle. Your workout regime sounds good too. Please get in touch for a comorehensive advise about how to do IF. Once you have everything clear, you can go ahead and follow it for achieving your targets.
