Insomnia alfor past 4 years
I have been suffering from Insomnia for the past 4 years. I am now prescribed Chloropromazine 100mg, now I am able sleep ok but I have really low libido and sex drive. Let me know what needs the be done. When I try to reduce the dose to 50 mg I have vivid dreams and frequent awakening and feeling tired in the morning. How do I reduce the dosage and have good sleep

Were you given chlorpromazine only for sleep or did you also have other problems? If it was only for sleep then you can switch to Zolcalm. And then gradually stop it once your sleep hygiene is improved. Do start some form of physical exercise.

For insomnia, finding out cause is important, if there is any underlying depression or any other illness. Sleep hygiene and JPMR will help u alot. Cholropromazine for sleep only is definitely not a good choice, as it comes with loads of side effects.
