Hi... This is unfortunate to witness how we have so unilaterally interpreted the western idea of dating without working upon the morality of it. So in Western countries people go out on dates to choose a partner for life or till the time love is alive. They are open to various kinds of sexual and social preferences but in no society you will find cheating and abuse acceptable. But in country like our's I see people using and abusing people and playing with their emotions with absolute disregard to human dignity. To summarize your query I would just say that, he was over you and didn't had the audacity to decently end a relationship before looking for another one, as if it was a job he wanted to switch for a better one. It's not about genders, it's about what we have become as a society.
