Iam suffer fungal infection on my scalp

I am 21 year old I am suffering from fungal ,dandruff and itching problem on my scalp since 2years.the doctor is recommended candid-b lotion and some tablet. -any side effect using a candid-B lotion on my scalp? And demage a scalp? And how it works?
